The Great fire of Warwick in 1694 stopped just short of this early 17th century timbered-framed house.

Despite heavy restoration, and it's rather unusual combination of a later neoclassical rusticated ground floor, with jettied timber-frame above, it does show how many of the buildings in Warwick may have looked before most of the town was reduced to ashes.
