Warwick Fire Station
Warwick Fire Station Will Close
You will be aware that Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service have a cost-cutting proposal to close Warwick Fire Station and we now learn that the one station closest to the M40 and A46 bypass will be closed. When there is so much wastage in other areas it shows a distinct lack of imagination to axe a life-saving service.

Road Disruption
Despite being promised by the local council that the bus station would remain operational we are now told that there will be major disruption to public transport whilst gas mains are being replaced. This work was originally scheduled for January and February but the inept planning by our local council has meant it is to happen during the busy summer months - it's something we have to live with! Warwick is still very much open; the car parks are open and business will be maintained as usual. Don't blame the local businesses - we are fed up with useless local bureaucracy too! -
Police Budget
It is with great concern that we learn that the police budget is to be cut by 25%. Long gone are the days when we had two dedicated bobbies to the Warwick town centre beat and the future looks bleak. 30% of our business rates go to the Police! Let us know what you think - we are making representations to the governnment and your comments do matter.
