Brethren's Kitchen Featured
We are an historic (established 1571) kitchen which is now a Tea Room offering good, honest home-cooked English food and drink.
The Brethren's Kitchen is an integral part of the Lord Leycester Hospital and helps to support the upkeep still today. We have a unique Tudor setting, with colonnade seating overlooking the courtyard. Entry to the Brethren's Kitchen is free if you wish to look around the rest of the building and gardens. We have seating for 35 with an additional 10 seats in the colonnade.
We offer a large range of traditional and herbal teas, gourmet freshly ground coffee and traditional English chilled drinks.
A wholesome home-cooked soup is served daily with chunky bread, and we have a wide range of sandwiches served on handcut wholegrain bread with salad garnish. Why not try one of our hearty sandwiches such as Bacon & Brie or Warwickshire Pork Sausages? We also have Jacket Potatoes and Daily Specials such as Neville's Home-Made Steak and Kidney Pie or Chicken and Mushroom pie, Fresh Seasonal Salads and Vegetarian Flans.
Scones: We serve plain, fruit, apple and cinnamon or lavender. Cream Teas to die for with real clotted cream and home-made cakes galore.
Our aim is to serve good, honest English Food, in a unique surrounding whilst providing good hospitality; an experience to savour.
