Shakespeare 400: Not Just William by Tell Tale Presents New! Featured
2016 marks 400 years since the death of William Shakespeare on 23rd APRIL 1616. To mark Shakespeare 400 the AWARD WINNING tell Tale are not only reviving their sell out show of 2014 but also offering a special opportunity for Warwickshire schools to learn about the folklore and history of their home county when Shakespeare was a boy.

Times are hard for the Shakespeare family as a reluctant young William faces up to leaving school early to help in the glove workshop. Bereft of his books and his grand hopes for the future, William is not having the happiest of birthdays until a simple errand leads him on an enchanted journey through a haunted forest and a magical graveyard which opens his eyes to a world of stories which will remain with him for the rest of his life

Not Just William was commissioned as part of Shakespeare’s 450th Birthday celebrations in 2014 by the Magic Alley Theatre – “the home of storytelling in Stratford -upon-Avon”. Originally performed as a promenade performance on Henley Street the play has been adapted for the stage for SHAKESPEARE 400 in Warwick Stratford and Leicester
