Road Disruption
Good news - the road works are on schedule and the bus station will partially re-open from 6th September.The Car Parks are open and so are the businesses. It's been a difficult few weeks but the end is in sight!
Police Budget
It is with great concern that we learn that the police budget is to be cut by 25%. Long gone are the days when we had two dedicated bobbies to the Warwick town centre beat and the future looks bleak. 30% of our business rates go to the Police! Let us know what you think - we are making representations to the governnment and your comments do matter.
Warwick Confidence
Business owners are encouraged by the way the town is going from strength to strength at the moment, although concerns have been raised over the impact looming government cuts will have on the local economy.
Chairman of the Warwick Chamber of Trade, Sue Butcher, said: "Warwick seems to have done quite well, I think that because we are largely independents and we don't have the big chain stores here it has meant that we've not suffered in the same way.

Warwick Fire Station Will Close
You will be aware that Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service have a cost-cutting proposal to close Warwick Fire Station and we now learn that the one station closest to the M40 and A46 bypass will be closed. When there is so much wastage in other areas it shows a distinct lack of imagination to axe a life-saving service.
